When the "Gestion et Exploitation du Port de Beyrouth" set its new Free Zone tariff, it took into consideration the present commercial and work conditions indicative of the area.

Then came about the new tariff which proved to be quite suitable, simple, and clear making it possible to competing with other international tariffs. The cost of the investment in a square meter was found to be quite lucrative whether it was an industrial warehouse or an area in the Duty free Market. In addition the port administration has granted an intensive rebate valued at 50% on all lease contracts mentioned in the tariffbook. 

Costs and Simplified Procedures 
The costs of electricity and water consumption are the same as local consumption costs according to private electrical meters, with an additional 10% of costs management.

The costs of renting equipment are considered symbolic. According to what the Management thought crucial in inducing encouragement for investment. The port administration has reduced the administrative procedures to a large extent by issuing, along with the customs administration, a commun memorandum wich allowed the investors to curry in their goods into the free zone. Investors, also, have been given the opportunity to carry out their businesses for a duration of 24 hours, whether it is during port working hours between 7:00 A.M and 6:00 P.M, or outside working hours.
